Project Overview

The client, an at-home pediatric physiotherapy initiative, needed a user-friendly and informative website to reach caregivers who require local child physiotherapy services. My role included UX research, wireframing, and website creation over a 3-month timeline.

Research and Discovery

Initially, I had a call with the client to understand their needs. The client needed a platform for caregivers to reach out and schedule appointments on their website and understand exactly what their services entail. The client sent competitor’s websites for layout and design inspiration. The user also wanted a friendly and approachable logo and color palette and typography.

Ideation and Planning

With the client’s needs in mind, I started by creating a branding document to ensure that the website theme met the client’s vision for the website. I also took into account the client’s inspiration and goals for the logo, and ideated a logo. The logo and brand went through multiple rounds of iteration in collaboration with the client. Once the brand was finalized, I researched other physiotherapy websites to learn important layout decisions.

Design and Development

High-fidelity wireframes were created referenced by client’s preferences, previous research, and overall website goals. The wireframes were created in Figma with bi-weekly critiques with the client.

Reflection and Learning

I attained a greater depth of understanding working with a client for a medical-related platform. I was able to understand which design choices are warranted when it comes to these cases.
